Tom Black- Editor

Tom Black is a writer first and foremost. You won't find a photo of him on the web because a few
years ago he won a bundle at the dog track and went around and bought all of them back from the
lovely young ladies who held them near and dear.

Tom lives in an undisclosed location with a wife and three jack russell terriers. His wife tolerates him
and dotes on the dogs. Tom feels that her priorities are slightly out of whack. But she does
sometimes allow him to eat at the table with the dogs, so he's not kicking.

Tom would describe himself as a curmudgeon. Tom wishes he could lie and say that he was a
base jumping Harley riding adrenaline junkie. But since he is hopelessly nerdy he would certainly
crash and burn if he tried to do more than look at a bike or a cliff from a distance, so he writes
    about things like that instead.

Tom's writing has appeared in a myriad of places over the years. He feels that there would be too
many places to list, because, well, he's old and his career stretches back into the seventies.

Tom's main job is to be the one to blame when the people who know Karen submit work that we can't
use. And hers is to tell Tom that he's pretty.

It works for us. Try not to judge.

                                              Karen Schindler-Managing Editor

Karen Schindler writes even when she's not writing. A lot of her daily life makes its way into
her fiction. Her daughter swears that the main character in her first novel is Karen. But Karen
maintains that Jax has much nicer cleavage.

Karen hosts Miscellaneous Yammering  and posts new fiction there each Friday. Other weekdays
are filled with a mix of funny anecdotal stories about her adventures intermixed with the occasional
interview. When Karen's not ghostwriting/editing for a living, writing for the blog or working on her
current novel, she's busy writing essays, poems and fiction for submission. Eating, writing, reading
and breathing are required components of Karen's life.

Karen's muse visits at odd hours without knocking. In addition to her muse she feels very lucky to
have Jebadiah, a very large house plant who hovers near her computer and is often quite willing
to lend a leaf when she is in need of brainstorming a particularly tricky plot issue.

The aforementioned plant also does stellar double duty by hiding the notes that Karen scrawled
on the wall in a particularly inspired late night moment during NANO 2009 when Karen found herself
    without paper.

Karen's fiction, poetry and essays have been or are about to be published at various magazines
including Eclectic Flash, Voxpoetica, WeirdYear, Flashes in the Dark, InkNode, Blink/Ink, Negative
Suck  and in the upcoming 2010 online series and print anthology of 52 Stitches.
