WHAT WE WANT:

    Your best polished and edited fast flash fiction of more than 100 but less than 1,000 words.

    We want you to think outside of the box. Send us something different. Think quirky, gritty, unusual
    and strong. Suspense, Horror, Humor and Sci fi are all encouraged, but if you have something that
    you think is great and doesn't fall easily into one of those categories, by all means send it.

    We want you to make every word count.

    We want you to provoke a reaction.

    We read and write eclectically so we're open to many styles as long as what you send is well executed,
    fast and packs a punch.

    Shorter is better, but if you need to use all 1,000 words as long as you don't meander we'll keep reading.

    Mild erotica is fine if it is part of a wider story. Mild language is preferred.
         

                                                             WHAT WE DON'T WANT:

    Rapists or child molesters.

    Splatterpunk or torture porn.

    We love literary fiction and slice of life but Pow is not the home for it.

    We don't want strong language or language used only for shock value.   

    We don't want "ripped from the headlines" stories. We want your piece to feel timeless.

    We don't want anything mawkish or pieces that deal with long slow death by disease.

    We don't publish poetry.

    Subject line: Fiction Submission, Title of the piece, Author's name, Copyright year

    Include in the body of the email : Author's name as you wish it to appear at publication,
    the piece itself, your third person 100 word bio and a link to your web page and/or twitter
    account if you so desire. When using a pseudonym, please also provide your legal name
    for our records only.

    All submissions receive a response. Turn around time is generally 7-21 days.

    By submitting to Pow Fast Flash Fiction you are declaring that the work you have
    submitted  is your own, you are over 18 years of age and you are aware that you are
    granting Pow Fast Flash Fiction electronic rights to publish and archive your submission.

    We reserve the right to make minor edits for punctuation and clarity. The author will be
    notified of any and all changes to their work before publication.

    Please include any needed publishing credit if the piece you have submitted has
    been previously published.

    Pow is not a paying market at this time. We offer a place to publish your best work, and our
    heartfelt thanks for letting us do so. We look forward to reading what your collective quirky
